Help Your Child With Maths

Most children need lots of practical, multi-sensory activities to help them begin to understand concepts such as time, weight, number, money, length, fractions etc.

You can help at home by incorporating challenging questions into your everyday conversation – think about how many boxes of cereal you could fit in a trolley, how many minutes until bed time, how many star jumps you could do in one minute, how much longer is the ruler than the pencil etc.
