Parent Teachers Association

All parents are automatically members of the Parent Teachers Association.  The aims of the group are to promote and encourage co-operation between parents, teachers and children with a view to enjoyably enhancing all pupils’ educational experience during their attendance at Askam Village School.

The group holds meetings, organises social activities and fund raising events in order to provide additional equipment and facilities for the benefit of the school.

Over the past 2 years the PTA have raised money through a sponsored walk, non-uniform days, Easter and Christmas Fayres and discos at the end of term for all the children. The PTA have paid for ICT equipment including 2 computers and software to teach French and climbing frames in the playground.

There is usually a planning meeting held in September of each year and details of the programme are produced and circulated to all members in regular newsletters.
